DESCRIPTION:We invite community members\, athletes and business owners to come our share a meal\, network\, watch the horse races and help raise much needed funds to send kids in the Ottawa Region to Diabetes Camp! \nEach year there are around 60 kids that require subsidy to attend Diabetes Camp and based on this number there is approximately $162\,000 of subsidy needed in our region.\n\nLiving with type 1 diabetes is a lifelong balancing act. To lead a healthy life with type 1 diabetes\, children and youth are tasked with finger pricks\, needle sticks\, drawing blood\, insulin injections\, pump site insertions\, and counting carbs\, every day for the rest of their lives.
