SUMMARY:All Candidates Meet & Greet
DESCRIPTION:Check out our city priorities\, our candidates and our ways to get involved at www.buildupottawa.ca\n\n\n\nWe are pleased to present an important opportunity to meet local candidates\, network with members of the business community\, discuss local priorities and contribute to the future of our city and the region. Refreshments will be served.\n\n\n\nTOGETHER\, LET'S BUILD FOR PEOPLE\, FOR BUSINESS\, FOR GROWTH . . .\n\nFOR ONE OTTAWA.\n\n \n\nThis fall we all have an important role and responsibility to fulfill as we contemplate who will lead our city for the next four years. The results of the municipal election on October 24\, 2022 will impact business and community success and set the direction for our collective future. To that end\, the Ottawa Board of Trade\, as an independent\, nonpartisan and member driven organization has launched the #BuildUpOttawa initiative\; setting a pro-growth agenda that will create an affordable\, inclusive\, and sustainable city.\n\n \n\nThe last two years of change and challenge has revealed many lessons that can be leveraged as we grow forward. Business success drives community prosperity. And vice versa. Health drives the economy. And vice versa. And we can accomplish much when we prioritize progress over perfection. We have an opportunity as individuals\, as businesses and as a community to grow\, learn\, and plan for a better future. One that requires the highest level of collaboration\, innovation\, and strategic investments.\n\n \n\nIn this municipal election\, we are seeking leaders who are committed to economic growth and who will create an environment that leverages the ingenuity and success of business to drive community prosperity.\n\n \n\nA thriving world class business community = a strong and vibrant city for all.\n\n \n\nBuild Up Ottawa is designed to . . . .\n\n\n	\n	Share a growth focused platform and look for alignment with all the candidates.\n	\n	\n	Engage candidates and the voting public in a discussion about our key priorities.\n	\n	\n	Cultivate a spirit of collaboration and progress that we can build on.\n	\n\n\n \n\nIn the end\, we hope that together we will elect candidates that demonstrate they are future thinking visionaries\, have a deep understanding of the city-wide priorities that will make us competitive in a global economy and are committed to radical collaboration\, working with all of council\, the city staff team\, economic partners and every level of government.\n\n \n\nIn the last few months\, we have been engaged with members\, business and community leaders and stakeholders to identify five priorities that would form the basis of our build up Ottawa agenda and drive the conversations with our candidates.
