Through donor data analytics\, fundraising and stewardship reports\, board training and fundraising audits\, Ms. Laprade helps local\, national\, and international organizations with their fundraising strategy. Sam also helps small and medium sized organizations recruit for important roles such as development director and fundraising manager. \n\nSam is the creator and host of "An Hour to Give" on CityNews 101.1\, Ottawa and CityNews 95.7\, Halifax. This radio show highlights non-profit organizations and philanthropy. \n\nOn July 5\, 2021\, The Sam Laprade Show was launched on CityNews 101.1 Ottawa. This daily radio show\, which airs 12-2PM\, is an opportunity to feature the stories that matter to the residents of Ottawa and the Valley. Sam also covers breaking news to ensure listeners are kept up to date with local\, national\, and global issues. \n\nMs. Laprade writes a monthly column for the Ottawa Business Journal entitled "Philanthropy in Ottawa". \n\nSam is an engaging\, inspiring international speaker who takes audiences on a journey during her presentations. From emotional issues to stand-up comedy\, she leaves them on their feet cheering. \n\nPanel Experts:\n\n\n\nJessica Greenberg\, CPM\, Vice President of Asset Management\, Osgoode Properties\n\nJessica Greenberg (CPM)\, is Vice President of Asset Management at Osgoode Properties\, where she leads the asset management\, marketing and leasing\, training and human resources departments. Osgoode Properties owns and manages 10\,000 multifamily units in Ottawa\, Gatineau\, Kingston\, Toronto\, Alberta\, Florida and Georgia. \n\nJessica serves as a director on the Jewish Federation of Ottawa and Ottawa Jewish Community School board and advisor on the Advisory Board for Keynote Staffing Group and serves as co-chair for Elevate International Women's Day Conference. A passionate advocate for gender equity and access to mental health she volunteers with organizations to further those objectives. She acts as a mentor through the Women's Business Network of Ottawa and with the Ottawa Gee Gees Women's Rugby Team. \n\nJessica holds an MBA from the Questrom School of Management at Boston University\, and a BA from Middlebury College. \n\nJessica was named as a 2020 member to the Governor General Leadership Conference recognizing future Canadian leaders\, a 2020 Ottawa Top 40 under 40 and the 2019 recipient of the QuadReal Excellence Award recognizing the Canadian who achieves the top score in the completion of the Certified Property Management designation. \n\nJessica is proud mom to Eloise\, Noah and Laz. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nShirley Westeinde\, CM\, D.U.\, RPA\, HCol.\, President\, Westeinde Properties Ltd. \n\nShirley's accomplishments include both professional and personal achievements\, including her past appointments as Chair of Algonquin College\, The Royal Ottawa Research Board\, and Chair of the Canadian Construction Association. These positions included promoting the construction industry to young people\, particularly young women\, and lobbying the Federal Government for programs that would ensure the growth and stability of the industry by providing training and opportunities to our young people\, particularly women.\n Although a nurse by profession\, Shirley joined her husband John in incorporating Westeinde Construction out of their home in Kanata in 1978.\n\nThe business eventually grew into a group of companies specializing in Real Estate Development and Property Management. Ms. Westeinde threw herself into being an entrepreneur with characteristic determination\, working at the office by day and taking courses at Algonquin College and the University of Ottawa at night.\n\nOver a 25-year period the company built over 300 Educational Facilities\, Hospitals\, Commercial Office Buildings\, Industrial and Manufacturing Facilities\, Federal and Municipal Govt. Buildings\, Retail Plazas\, and Hi-Tech Projects. Most of these projects were in the Ottawa area\, but many across Canada and the Canadian Embassy in Kingston Jamaica. \n\nWomen were rare in the construction sector then\, and she had few role models to look to for guidance. Yet she eventually compiled a resume that is filled with numerous accomplishments and accolades for her work in the Construction Industry and her work on many Community Boards and Committees.\n\nThis work has earned her many awards including membership in the prestigious Order of Canada\, an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Ottawa\, and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Ottawa Board of Trade. \n\nShe recently retired as the Honorary Colonel of the 33rd Services Battalion.\n\nShirley's most enjoyable award\, is the enjoyment of her 3 children & spouses\, and 10 grandchildren\, who are continuing the family legacy of Building and Developing Projects\, and participating actively in initiatives that will help to "Build their Community" wherever they may live.
