SUMMARY:Asbestos Inspection and Air Monitoring in Federal Buildings
DESCRIPTION:Managing and controlling asbestos has been and will continue to be a growing concern within today's built environment.\n\nIn June of 2018\, the Canadian Occupational Health and Safety Regulations (SOR-86-304) were amended\, requiring additional air monitoring during asbestos abatement projects. During this session\, we will be discussing these changes as they apply to the air monitoring during asbestos abatement operations within federally occupied buildings. \n\nIn addition to the air monitoring requirements\, we'll explore the budget/schedule implications that these requirements have on planned projects. As well as the benefits of performing air sampling for due diligence purposes.\n\n\n\nIn this session\, participants will learn:\n\n\n	Basics principles of asbestos abatement and air monitoring requirements as per SOR-86-304.\n	Locations required for air sampling during abatement.\n	Air sample frequency.\n	Understanding the sample results\, and the potential implications of negative results.\n	How air sampling affects project budgets and schedules.\n	Due diligence air sampling and peace of mind from a liability perspective by having sample results on a daily basis.\n\nWho Should Attend:\n\n\n	Property/Asset Managers of federal buildings\n	EH&S Corporate Leaders/Directors\n\nRegister now:\n\nhttps://mailchi.mp/ecoh/register-now-asbestos-inspection-and-air-monitoring-in-federal-buildings-hpjiz79lts
