SUMMARY:Road to Sovereignty\, a Cannabis Story with Josée Bourgeois
DESCRIPTION:In collaboration with Carleton's Anako Indigenous Research Institute\, the Sprott School of Business will host Jos e Bourgeois\, Indigenous dancer and Indigenous cannabis activist\, for a free public lecture titled\, "Road to Sovereignty: A Cannabis Story." Jos e will provide insight on what factors need to be acknowledged when working with Indigenous owned companies and community-driven ventures.  \n\n \nJosee Bourgeois was named one of the top Indigenous cannabis activists to follow in 2023 by LeafWell Medical Cannabis Research Institution. Josee is a member of the Board of Directors as the Advocacy and Policy Advisor to non-for-profit certified cannabis education organization\, Educannation. Josee has extensive experience and knowledge of decolonizing policies\, systems and institutions.
