DESCRIPTION:Life\, Interrupted - Understanding and Supporting Young People During Unpredictable Times\n\n\n\nAs parents\, we're concerned for our teens' mental health\, happiness\, and productivity on any given day. During Covid-19\, new challenges have presented themselves and we've had to adapt.\n\n\n\nYou're invited to learn new strategies and practical tips from a youth mental health counsellor for keeping teens engaged during this unique time\, and improving family conversations and connections throughout this summer.\n\n \n\nPamela Storey Baker\, M.Ed. is the Clinical Coordinator of Bridges - Passerelles\, an integrative intensive mental health partnership program for youth with complex mental health needs serving the Champlain LHIN. She leads a highly skilled inter-disciplinary team comprised of clinicians from the Youth Services Bureau of Ottawa\, CHEO\, The Royal and Ottawa Public Health.   In her early work\, as a Counsellor with the Youth Services Bureau of Ottawa\, she developed a special interest in providing individual and family counselling to street involved youth and those involved in the criminal justice system. \n\n\n\nPamela has also worked in private practice for over seventeen years providing psychotherapy to 'youth in care' of the Child Welfare system and their foster families.  She holds an Honours degree in Psychology from Carleton University and a Master's degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Calgary specializing in Clinical\, School and Community Psychology.\n\n\n\nConversations of "Super-vision"\, and inter-disciplinary team collaboration are her passion.
