DESCRIPTION:Expect More\n\n\n\nJoin us for the 12th edition of Women\, Wit & Wisdom at the Infinity Convention Centre. This event series began in 2017 at a time when there were not as many events focused on women. It has continued to grow in both popularity and impact because of the authenticity and diversity of the people involved. Guests note inspiration and connections as the top benefits for joining.\n\n\n\nWomen of all ages\, backgrounds and career paths will find value in this night out. A chance to relax\, have fun\, and meet new friends. A chance to be inspired\, share your story and fill your cup. We will enjoy a networking cocktail hour and gourmet dinner\, followed by a panel of three local women leaders. The evening is designed to connect women\, and facilitate real conversations about leadership\, life balance and legacy building. \n\n\n\nIn the past we have discussed concepts around: 'Rising Up'\, 'Being Bold'\, and 'Digging Deep'. As the President and CEO of CCIB\, she is dedicated to rebuilding and strengthening the path towards reconciliation and fostering a prosperous Indigenous economy for the benefit of all Canadians. With a background in electrical engineering\, Tabatha is committed to promoting Indigenous inclusion and diversity in Canada's energy sector.\n\n\n\nIn her role at CCIB\, Tabatha serves the Indigenous community by supporting the Indigenous economy and sits on various boards\, including the Dexterra Group\, Wigwamen Inc.\, Ontario Chamber of Commerce\, and Catalyst CEO Advisory Board in Canada\, among others.\n\n\n\nTabatha's dedication to diversity extends to her efforts in removing systematic barriers to enhance opportunities for Indigenous businesses and women across all industry sectors.\n\n\n\nShe was awarded an Honorary Diploma from Loyalist College in Applied Arts and Technology in recognition of her leadership and contributions to Indigenous economic growth. Additionally\, she has earned her ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors\, further strengthening her expertise in corporate governance and board leadership.\n\n\n\nCaroline Codsi\, Founder & Chief Equity Officer\, Women in Governance\n\n \nCaroline Codsi\, ICD.D\, is the Founder and Chief Equity Officer of Women in Governance\, which she launched in 2010 to advance gender parity in leadership. In 2017\, with the support of McKinsey & Company\, she created the Parity CertificationTM\, now adopted by hundreds of major organizations such as Pfizer\, Fedex\, Rolls Royce\, and Mercer\, impacting over one million employees across North America.\n\n\n\nBorn in Beirut and fluent in four languages\, Caroline holds degrees from Universit  Paris Diderot and HEC Montr al\, and is a valedictorian graduate of the ICD Program at McGill University.\n\n \n\nA seasoned board member\, global speaker and LinkedIn Learning author\, she has delivered two TEDx talks and spoken at top international events in Paris\, Tokyo\, London\, Lima\, Casablanca\, Mexico City\, New Delhi\, St. Petersburg\, Bahrain\, Dubai\, Osaka\, etc. She has also led hundreds of fireside chats with leaders like Hillary Clinton\, Justin Trudeau\, Princess Sarah Zeid\, the Lord Mayor of the City of London\, Tarana Burke\, Randy Zuckerberg\, etc.\n\n\n\nRecognized nationally and internationally\, Caroline has been named one of Canada's Top 100 Most Powerful Women and one of the Top 100 Entrepreneurs Changing the World. She has received multiple awards\, including from UN Women\, and was honoured with the Charles III Coronation Medal for her outstanding contributions to Canadian society.\n\n \n\n\n \nMitzie Hunter\, President & CEO\, Canadian Women's Foundation\n\n \nMitzie Hunter is a dynamic leader with 30 years of experience working in the private and non-profit sectors\, and in government. She was the first Black woman to serve as Ontario's Minister of Education\, she was also Minister of Advanced Education and Skills Development and Associate Minister of Finance. Today she is President and CEO of the Canadian Women's Foundation and a respected advocate for women\, girls\, and gender-diverse people across the country.\n\n \n\nMitzie is known for her expertise in an array of issues\, including building neighbourhoods\, communities and cities   and the infrastructure and inclusive economies that support them. She has held leadership positions with the Prosperity Project\, Toronto Community Housing Corporation\, CivicAction\, Goodwill Industries\, and SMART Toronto\, a technology hub. Her community commitment is evident through board roles with Royal LePage Shelter Foundation\, Fidelity Investments Canada\, The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery\, United Way Greater Toronto\, and TVO. In 2023\, Mitzie ran for mayor of the City of Toronto. She is a Senior Fellow with the C.D.
