The Ottawa Board of Trade is the voice of business and key economic partner in the nations capital with a mission to cultivate a thriving world class business community, one that drives community prosperity and the building of an affordable, inclusive and sustainable city. To that end, we are pleased to partner with Ottawa Tourism, Invest Ottawa the Ottawa Coalition of BIAs, and the Ottawa Real Estate Board to host a mayoral debate leading up to the 2022 municipal election. The debate will bring together the top polling mayoral candidates to answer important questions centering on the Build Up Ottawa pro-growth agenda. Sure to be one of the most compelling debates of the campaign, we seek to provide the community with answers to which candidates will best help build up Ottawa.
 
Our Build Up Ottawa initiative intends to:
 
1.         To share our growth focused agenda and look for alignment with all our candidates
2.         To engage candidates and the voting public in a discussion about our key priorities
3.         To cultivate a spirit of collaboration and progress that we can build on moving forward
