Webinar: Is Your Business Inadvertently Lobbying During COVID-19?

Is Your Business Inadvertently Lobbying During COVID-19?

During the COVID-19 pandemic, more and more businesses have been communicating with the municipal, provincial and federal levels of governments. Some of these communications, including certain communications about government contracts, grants and financial benefits, are considered “lobbying”. This seminar will provide an overview of the law, including potential legal and reputational risks.

Kyle Morrow practices political law at Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP. He advises clients on their compliance obligations in the areas of lobbying, conflicts of interest, campaign finance, anti-bribery and corruption, whistleblowing, and procurement integrity. Kyle also defends clients who are being investigated or prosecuted for political offences.
