Managing and controlling asbestos has been and will continue to be a growing concern within today's built environment.
In June of 2018, the Canadian Occupational Health and Safety Regulations (SOR-86-304) were amended, requiring additional air monitoring during asbestos abatement projects. During this session, we will be discussing these changes as they apply to the air monitoring during asbestos abatement operations within federally occupied buildings.
In addition to the air monitoring requirements, we’ll explore the budget/schedule implications that these requirements have on planned projects. As well as the benefits of performing air sampling for due diligence purposes.
