Description
The Scottish Society of Ottawa presents the Gala Burns Supper & Ceilidh in the Shaw Centre Trillium Ballroom on Saturday, January 19. Capped at 150 attendees, this gala event will be a classy Scottish experience like none other.
The entertainment line-up includes Master of Ceremonies Bill Carroll from CFRA, the Pipes and Drums of the Cameron Highlanders of Ottawa, the Ottawa Highland Dancing Association, the Brigadoons, the Ernie Fraser Band, and Royal Scottish Country Dancers. The traditional speeches will include the Address to the Haggis by Brian Lilley from CFRA, the Toast to the Lassies by Graham Fraser (Scot of the Year 2017) and the Response to the Toast to the Lassies by Catherine McKenna, MP. The Immortal Memory will be presented by a surprise guest! This Robbie Burns Supper is more than just the traditional meal and speeches, we have entertainment, singing and dancing into the wee hours.
We invite you and your colleagues to purchase a table (or two) for an evening celebrating the great Scottish Bard himself – recitations, singing, toasting, and dancing into the wee hours. Tickets are $150 which includes a charitable donation , and an exciting charitable sponsorship in support of Make A Wish Eastern Ontario, and are available at Eventbrite For further information, check the Scottish Society of Ottawa website at Ottscot.ca.
This event is almost sold out, so book your tickets soon!
