Get Growing Series: Demystifying Living on the Financial Edge
Small business owners are entrepreneurs that understand the risks and rewards of starting, building and running their own businesses. The challenges of COVID has tipped the scale on risk side to the point of many businesses facing the financial edge and loss of control. Join financial experts and stakeholders that share membership in your Ottawa Board of Trade as they explore the advantages and pathways that allow financial insolvency to help SME's navigate the uncomfortable and often complicated process, while discovering some strategic opportunities to start again.
Find out the answers to questions around bankruptcy and learn facts that can help you think strategically as you live on the financial edge. Questions such as:
I don't want to file for bankruptcy but I need to keep the creditors (including CRA) off my back in order to allow me to try and figure things out? What could I do?
Can I file for bankruptcy and continue operating my business?
When should I have a lawyer involved and how will they help me?
Are there any options I should be discussing with my landlord?
What is worse? Worrying about possible bankruptcy or actually going through it?
