Special Guest: Erik Hoffman, President - Music at Live Nation
For three decades Erik Hoffman has been deeply embedded in the music business and a passionate supporter of Canadian artists.
Early on Hoffman would wear both the hats of live sound engineer and tour manager travelling the globe with a wide spectrum of artists. In addition to this he owned and operating his own independent concert company (PRS Concerts) in his hometown of Ottawa. In 2004 Hoffman joined Live Nation Canada (then House Of Blues Concerts), relocating to Vancouver to take over the booking of the legendary Commodore Ballroom. The years that would follow would see Hoffman booking tours and producing special events for some of the most critically acclaimed acts on the planet including Adele, Drake, Arcade Fire, The Tragically Hip, Mumford & Sons, Zach Bryan, and Jack White, to name a few. In addition to this, Erik has curated and produced both boutique and world class festival events including the Squamish Valley Music Festival, Rolling Loud Toronto, FVDED in the Park, Field Trip Arts & Music Festival, and the CBC Music Festival.
Currently Hoffman’s role as President – Music at Live Nation Canada has him overseeing all aspects of the company’s concert division in Canada. Erik sits on the Board of Directors for The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences as well as MusiCounts.
