Mayor's Breakfast - The Business of Sports
Ottawa's professional sports scene is undergoing some major league changes. Three professional sports franchises are set to debut in spring 2020.
These new franchises include a new pro soccer team (Atlético Ottawa), a new pro basketball team (Ottawa Blackjacks) and a new pro rugby team (Hemel Stags).
That's not the only change. Established players such as Ottawa RedBlacks and Ottawa Senators are seeing their business models evolve.
Join Mayor Jim Watson, the Ottawa Board of Trade and Ottawa Business Journal for an interactive panel discussion that explores the business challenges and opportunities facing the city's professional sports franchises and the overall impact of sports on the local economy.

Presented nine times annually, the Mayor's Breakfast Series is a popular event which includes networking over coffee, a buffet breakfast and a presentation from guest speakers which include high-profile political, business and community leaders. Mayor Jim Watson also updates attendees on recent City Hall issues and initiatives.
