Special Guest: Maude Marquis-Bissonnette, Mayor of Gatineau
Maude Marquis-Bissonnette holds a Ph.D in public policy from Carleton University in Ottawa, a master's degree from the “École Nationale d’Administration Public” (ÉNAP) in Montreal and a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Montreal. She has worked as a strategic planner at the regional level, while having numerous mandates with public organizations as a consultant too. In 2017, she was elected municipal councilor for the city of Gatineau, in the Plateau district. During her tenure, she dealt with numerous major issues, including the territory development, the environment, the housing issue, and the social economy. Involved in the community with local organizations, she also served as vice-president of the Centre de pédiatrie sociale de Gatineau.
From June 2022 to June 2024, Maude Marquis-Bissonnette held the position of assistant professor in municipal management at the “École Nationale d’Administration Publique” (ÉNAP). She was also a political analyst on the ICI Radio-Canada newscast as part of the National Capital Panel from January 2023 to April 2024.
Maude Marquis-Bissonnette was elected mayor of Gatineau on June 9, 2024.

Maude Marquis-Bissonnette est titulaire d’un doctorat en politiques publiques de l’université de Carleton à Ottawa, d'une maîtrise de l'École nationale d'administration publique (ÉNAP) de Montréal et d'un baccalauréat en sciences politiques de l'Université de Montréal. Elle a travaillé comme planificatrice stratégique au niveau régional et a également mené de nombreux mandats auprès d'organismes publics à titre de consultante. En 2017, elle a été élue conseillère municipale de la ville de Gatineau, dans le district du Plateau. Durant son mandat, elle s'est occupée de nombreux dossiers d’envergure, dont l'aménagement du territoire, l'environnement, l'habitation et l’économie sociale; en plus de siéger au conseil d'administration de la Société de transport de l'Outaouais (STO) et à celui de l'Office d'habitation de l'Outaouais. Engagée dans le milieu auprès des organismes locaux, elle a aussi notamment assumé la vice-présidence du Centre de pédiatrie sociale de Gatineau.
En juin 2022, Maude Marquis-Bissonnette a été nommée professeure adjointe en gestion municipale à l'École nationale d'administration publique (ÉNAP). Elle a aussi été analyste politique au téléjournal d’ICI Radio-Canada dans le cadre du panel de la capitale nationale, de janvier 2023 à avril 2024.
Maude Marquis-Bissonnette a été élue mairesse de Gatineau le 9 juin 2024.
