A Special Night For Special People
Celebrate with style and help them buy a home!
The 5th Annual Ottawa New Year's Eve Charity Ball is happening again at the Ottawa Conference and Event Centre on Coventry Road.
Experience an exciting night of the red carpet walk, paparazzi, amazing auction items, an extravagant four course meal and champagne at the stroke of midnight! Live entertainment with the world-class musical artistry of the Steve Berndt Quartet featuring Rebecca Noelle. Plus, dance the night away with the master of DJ David Deez.
Your Master of Ceremonies is renowned television and radio host, hockey historian, author and community leader Liam Maguire. He became Canada's unofficial hockey trivia expert in 1981 and, since then, has made many appearances across the country at speaking engagements.
Proceeds this year are going to Journey House. It is a Canadian registered charity that provides residential options and programs for young people challenged with developmental disabilities. In Ontario, there is a waiting list of over 18,000 individuals, with autism and special needs, seeking a place in a government assisted group home. The cost of private housing is an unsustainable average of $4000/month. Journey House has successfully addressed this housing crisis, with low costs and a short waiting list. Currently, Journey House rents homes to provide care and support for these youth. Help Journey House to continue their wonderful work. With your support, we can raise funds and awareness to enable Journey House to purchase a home for these young people and live and learn together.
