Dawn Desjardins, Chief Economist, Deloitte Canada
Dawn Desjardins is an economist and executive with experience in researching economic and policy issues. She joined Deloitte Canada in May 2023 taking on the role of Chief Economist. Over her career she has communicated complex issues to clients, decision-makers and media audiences.
As a trusted leader in Canadian economics, Dawn leads us in producing economic insights that influence change and spark national conversations that drive our economy forward. She plays a key role in overseeing our macroeconomic research and forecasting group, while also providing guidance and solutions to the most pressing economic challenges of our time.
Our clients rely on us to provide a trusted economic perspective on current and emerging trends. Dawn’s insights on economic growth, labour market trends, the future of work, monetary policy, and inflation supports us in continuing to be a trusted source for our clients, communities, and our country.
Before joining Deloitte, Dawn served as the Deputy Chief Economist at RBC, as a reporter for Bloomberg Financial News, and as a Canadian bond market strategist for JP Morgan Canada. Her wealth of experience in economic reporting and advisory will be invaluable in helping us navigate this period of economic uncertainty that is top of mind for many of our clients.
Dawn is also role model and mentor to many, something that we at Deloitte take great pride in.
