Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland announced the federal government will be tabling the long-awaited 2021 budget.
Join the Ottawa Board of Trade, the Ottawa Business Journal and its partners for a virtual event that will provide a prognosis on the state of Canada’s economic health with the announcement if the first official budget the federal government has issued in two years.
The event starts at 8:00AM with 30 minutes of moderated networking followed by a YouTube Live broadcast where you will hear from:
✔️ The Honourable Mona Fortier, MP for Ottawa-Vanier and Minister of Middle-Class Prosperity and Associate Minister of Finance will present an overview of the federal governments budget
✔️ Huw Williams of Impact Public Affairs and Sueling Ching of OBoT will moderate a Q&A with the Minister
✔️ Gavin Miranda, regional tax leader for MNP, who will provide an analysis of the budget and what it means for businesses and entrepreneurs
✔️ a panel of experts including Trevin Stratton, chief economist for the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, Susan Delacourt, National columnist and Kevin Page, Chief Executive Officer of the New Institute of Fiscal Studies.
