Description
Join the Algonquin College: Victimology Research Centre (VRC) for a virtual webinar shedding light on the prevalence of concussion/mTBI in individuals who have experienced intimate partner violence. Panelists will delve into the risk factors and barriers impacting women in marginalized communities when seeking support, explore the neuroscience of concussions, and emphasize the significance of understanding their effects on brain health and long-term recovery. Additionally, the VRC team will provide updates from the applied research project, Applying Concussion Recovery Technology to Support Survivors of Intimate Partner Violence.
We are extending an invite to faculty as well as requesting to share this webinar with learners. All victims, survivors, and service providers are welcome to join in this important conversation.
