Virtual Business Crews is a networking activity that uses intelligent matchmaking to group participants who share similar objectives. Participants are placed into groups designed with their specific interests in mind, and then meet with the same group of 14 – 20 people weekly over a four-week period to discuss and collaborate on achieving their business objectives. Meetings are led by a seasoned facilitator in order to maximize your networking experience.
For the Spring 2022 National Cohort, the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal is teaming up with the Vancouver Board of Trade, the Whistler Chamber of Commerce, the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce, the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce, the Toronto Region Board of Trade and the Ottawa Board of Trade.
Build your network with professionals from across the country!
Based on past Business Crews programs, 3 out of 4 participants reported concluding a business deal with second, third and even fourth-degree connections of those they had met in their crew.

As a Licensed Professional Business Coach (LPBC) with the Professional Business Coaches Alliance (PBCA) I have 22 years of leadership experience founding new organizations and helping struggling organizations become strong, vibrant and successful. With a strong background in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors, I’m also a seasoned communicator and accomplished motivational speaker. I’ve had the opportunity to speak to audiences of a few dozen to many thousands!
When it comes to business, I have one primary passion: to help entrepreneurs recognize and achieve their potential. I provide clients with powerful tools and valuable advice to streamline their path to success. And I help my clients build their businesses into the kinds of organizations that far exceed their expectations. My clients frequently express gratitude and relief, because they finally feel like there’s someone in their corner who gets them. Gets what they’re trying to do. Someone who’s got the tools to help them overcome the obstacles they’re facing.
I’m an intense and passionate person, and I love working with passionate people. I love seeing the intensity in their eyes! I’ve walked with those who’ve faced incredible personal obstacles and those who’ve dreamed huge business dreams. It’s been a primary focus my entire adult life.
My best piece of business advice would be found in the words of Steve Jobs: “The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it, keep looking. Don’t settle.”
Catherine Fair
Catherine has been a friend of the Ottawa Board of Trade since its inception. She has offered up her assistance to OBoT’s members numerous times in the past and continues to do so now.
Catherine started unofficially coaching small business owners through her work with the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB). Because of Catherine’s main motivator, having a positive impact, she felt she needed to expand her role into something more formal and deeper.
She is now a certified Master Business Coach and works with Ottawa based firm Rhapsody Strategies. As a coach, trainer, and facilitator, Catherine helps owners and their teams become more efficient, more profitable and most importantly, happier in their work. Similar to being a personal trainer for business, Catherine helps bring drive and direction to obtaining goals that once seemed elusive. If you are looking to become a better leader, have a better team or better results, Catherine can help. You can book a free Discovery Session by contacting her at cfair@rhapsodystrategies.com. I love helping people succeed! My greatest feeling of accomplishment comes when I help individuals and organizations overcome obstacles. I’m the type that always sees possibilities and consistently rejects cynicism and hopelessness.
Clients come to me because of my track record. Throughout my career I’ve helped clients produce growth while giving them a feeling of belonging; that they don’t have to do this alone! I help them see the possibilities, set achievable goals, and execute the game plan. My clients will tell you they know I have their best interests in mind.
I’m at my best when I’m having fun. I’m fueled by fun, adventure and belonging. That’s why I love what I do. I love being part of the adventure my clients are on with their business, and being part of the team that helps them realize their goals.
I like to inspire leadership through powerful business assessments and strategic planning, and “keep the ball moving down the field” through accountability and consistent catalytic feedback.
I firmly believe that making the right decisions, even in difficult times, will win the day and propel businesses and business leaders into their preferred future.
The greatest compliment I’ve had from a client? “I feel like you really care about our us and our business.”
My best piece of business advice? See the possibilities, seize the opportunities!
