Albert Park, Tax Manager, Zenbooks
Albert is the tax manager for Zenbooks and manages the firm’s tax practice. Prior to joining the Zenbooks team, he had built his career and experience in the global compliance and reporting group at Ernst & Young. He has worked with tax clients across various industries, spanning from large public corporations to small local businesses, on both domestic and cross-border Canadian tax issues. Given the breadth and complexity of the Canadian tax system, Albert strives towards resolving and simplifying the tax issues that Zenbooks clients’ encounter on a day to day basis in their businesses.
Bruce Smith, Director of Growth, inVision Edge
Born and raised just outside of Ottawa, Ontario, Bruce has been fortunate to experience many exciting seasons throughout his career. He was a founding member of the Canadian Medical Association’s disruptive innovation lab and has held several roles in marketing leadership. Bruce has an MBA with a concentration in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from the University of Ottawa and has worked and studied around the world, including stints in Australia, the United States, France, and China. He currently leads the Marketing and Product functions at inVision Edge to develop the products, tools, and resources their clients need to achieve their business goals.
Christopher Young, Head of Business Development, Emergex SR&ED Consultants
Working at the confluence of technology and international commerce, Christopher helps technology companies grow their businesses in North America and abroad. His expertise includes the arcane but generous Canadian tax credit program Scientific Research & Experimental Development (SR&ED), for which he has personally written over 20 technical reports and successfully overseen three federal audits. He currently serves as head of business development for Emergex SR&ED Consultants, based in Montreal, Canada.
