Site Supervisor/Foreman

About the Role:
A TPH Site Supervisor will report to the Project Manager and be responsible to run and operate plumbing projects from start to finish while maintaining a performing team.
Responsibilities:
- Make safe work practice the first consideration from conception to completion of any project on job sites by ensuring proper Health and Safety protocol are followed.
- ?Keep up to date on the material & equipment tracking data base. Ex: Complete drawing reviews on time, update the bundle status, when need be, keep track of tools on site, etc.
- Have a clear understanding and interpretation of the H&S Act and interpretation of labour law.
- Have a good understanding of the current plumbing code and can implement cost saving measures.
- Be comfortable calculating inverts and can prepare detailed sleeving layout measurements for site installation.
- Have a good understanding of full mechanical systems including work done by sub-trades including HVAC and fire protection sub-trades.
- Be inherently responsible, detail oriented and cost conscious (labor hours and material costs).
- Communicate with office staff, clients, sub-trades, vendors, and inspectors with any issues on projects.
- Be willing to follow procedures and do paperwork such as material orders.
- Understand and interpret specs and drawings for the company and the client’s best interest.
- Provide solutions and input to Project Managers.
- Interpret all CCN & Sis.
- Create and follow schedules and workloads.
- Have a very good, clear understanding of all systems and applications.
- Independently diagnose any causes of problems and/or failures in plumbing systems.
- Ensure good bonding, collaboration, productivity and respect from all team members.
- Take full responsibility for all team members and represent TPH and the client professionally in all matters.
- Collaboration with VDC and Fab Shop teams.
- Find and develop team members’ qualities and skills to find the best suited positions that maximize abilities.
- Other duties as requested.
What You’ll Bring:
- Must be a Journeyman Plumber (valid license)
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Journeyman/Site Supervisor/Foreman in the commercial construction industry
- Has a good understanding of mechanical, architectural, and structural drawings and specifications
- Experience working on projects such as schools, restaurants, tenant improvements, townhomes, warehouses, towers, multi-level buildings, car dealerships, care homes, etc.
- Independent process/decision making
- Strong leadership skills
- ?Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset
