About Us

Cleland Jardine Engineering Ltd. is an Ottawa-based consulting engineering firm specializing in the structural investigation, analysis, design and review of both new and existing buildings, as well as, their components.

The firm is licensed to practice engineering in the provinces of Ontario, Québec, Alberta, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland/Labrador, the North West Territories and Nunavut. Cleland Jardine Engineering Ltd. has also been involved with projects overseas, including Europe, the Middle East and the Caribbean. The firm’s staff of over fifty includes seventeen Professional Engineers as well as site technologists, CAD/BIM modelers and support staff. The firm makes use of the latest in Structural Engineering analysis and design software and CAD and BIM programs.

Over the past twenty-five years, the firm has successfully completed thousands of projects on a wide range of private and publically owned facilities with construction values ranging up to $160 million dollars. These projects have involved green field construction, repair and/or restoration, vertical & horizontal expansions, seismic retrofit, renovations/retrofit of heritage sensitive buildings, structural studies of building system capacities and life cycles, as well as, building envelope study and repairs. In addition, the Firm provides component design services for construction projects including seismic restraints, ceiling supports, mechanical supports, wind bearing stud walls, solar panels, as well as, civil works.
