About Us

Paola Girotti, the visionary behind Sugarmoon, embarked on a mission to revolutionize the hair removal and beauty sector. Establishing Sugarmoon in 2002, her aim was to offer fresh, natural solutions inspired by her own struggles with sensitive skin and excessive hair growth as a teenager. Recognizing a gap in the market, she was determined to provide natural alternatives.

Central to Sugarmoon's ethos is an unwavering commitment to this vision. Their products are meticulously crafted, using ethically sourced ingredients and herbal extracts, to deliver pure and natural solutions. Enriched with vitamins and minerals, these products nourish, rebalance, and rejuvenate the skin.

Over nearly two decades, Paola has observed a shift in societal attitudes towards formerly taboo topics like body hair. Through Sugarmoon, she and her team empower individuals to embrace their uniqueness and feel beautiful. Paola's personal involvement allows her to forge connections with clients, making a positive impact on their lives.

In 2020, amidst the pandemic, Paola demonstrated leadership by founding the Beauty United Council of Ontario (beautyunited.ca). Through this platform, she advocated for equitable treatment of the personal care industry in Ontario, garnering recognition through appearances on 49 media outlets over two years. Her efforts led to support for rebuilding the industry amid challenges.
